So I am feeling a little BLUE. I LOVE celebrating the 4th and it's just not the same in a different country. It is one of the best holidays and I have so many priceless memories of celebrating it with friends...from late night pictures dressed in red with flags in our hair, to a crying friend over a rollerblading excursion, to jetskiing and of course, the firework shows, either after volleyball, in the Bender parking lot, in Idaho, at my dad's work, over Birch Bay .
I love my friend, Ruth, she send me a little '4th wrapped up in love.' So today I am having my own, little private party-I am dressed up, I am making a flag jello, listening to lots of patriotic songs and drinking a delicious milkshake *because it seems American to me*
Happy 4th!! Looks like a fun lil party...sadly, I'm by myself right now on this fun holiday! :/ Miah is cutting teeth and so grumpy it's not fair to everyone else to have him around people, so him and I are home. *sigh*
ReplyDeletebtw.....love the glasses! *grin*
ReplyDeleteAw, I'm sorry you were blue. I wanted to call you but didn't think you'd be in. I did take some pictures for you, and a short video, but my camera wasn't doing so well in the dark. We missed you a lot. We should save some fireworks and do them when you get here. We could do them at the camp. :) I love the sunglasses and necklaces. :) I'll have to write you an email about our fabulous 4th. It was quite eventful, to say the least. By God's grace, may we spend next 4th of July together, if we are still here. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed your 4th!!! It's nothing like being in the States, I'm sure! I can't imagine being in your shoes!
