Brakelbos

We had some lovely weather on the free days last week. Saturday we decided to take a picnic and go discover a new location. A forest about 45 minutes from our house. There were a few walking paths that looked interesting.

The street we had was not in our GPS, so it took us over an hour and a half to arrive. By then I didn't want to haul a picnic around in search of a bench or table. Plus I was starving, so we ate in the car.

We attempted the 8k walking path only to turn around after a few hundred meters when we discovered that although it was sunny, the MUD was not dried up. It would've been impossible to go further with the buggy (if we had any hopes of staying dry). After deciding to do part of the 14k, we turned around and headed across the road, in another direction. Probably after a kilometer or so, there was a steep hill that we couldn't see around, so we decided to take it easy and turn around and walk on the road. We knew if we went down that hill, we had to come up again with the buggy and it just didn't look fun.

Even though our plans were slightly spoiled, I still had a good time.  I am happy to just be out in the SUN. Feel some warmth! Mateo loved it. It is probably only the 2nd or 3rd time his little toes saw the sun.
