Mother's Day

It was a LOVELY day (ehm, week according to my husband).
One of the things I wished for was a family photo, a normal picture of myself and one of me and Mateo.
We got the first 2 and instead of me and Mateo, a good one of daddy and him.
For me the special day started Thursday. I saw this beautiful jacket was on sale on Wednesday and it was just what I was looking for. Blue, springy, fits well...it was 50% off. The hubby said I could get it for my gift, so I was vvveeerrry pleased!
The other part of my gift (that I forced upon my husband) was a day to get a bunch of little jobs done. It was quite the productive Saturday! He put in new light bulbs, messed with a light that hasn't worked since we moved (Fixed it!), lowed both cribs, hung up my mirror, bought and hung up hooks for Mateo's jackets.

THEN, the *only* thing that I felt was *just* for me. I saw this idea somewhere and figured a humble way to have my own gift wrapping station! I decided this was a necessity because I couldn't find my wrapping paper or it was all wrinkled, plus the cards and things were in M's room, so it is easier to get it done when he's sleeping. We hung up 2 1 euro curtain rods to hold paper, the ends are good to hang other things (like scissors or ribbon). There is my card box and what I also love is that paper bag. It says "From LEAH, with love." It's actually from a clothing line, but I thought it's perfect for a gift wrapping station. Tissue paper is in there.
On Sunday I 'forced' my hubby to have breakfast with me. I even cooked. Normally I eat alone, so I thought it would be nice to have company for breakfast burritos and freshly made orange juice.

We had my in-laws and BIL/SIL for lunch. An easy-no-cooking-for-me-on-Ms-Day meal. I had made a dessert the day before, so we went and enjoyed it in the garden of my SIL after. AND, best of all...the sun was shining!

  2. It sounds like you had a lovely Mother's Week. ;) I really like what you did for your gift wrapping station. It's so clever and functional. Nice choice of gift, too. It looks good on you. And all the photos turned out really nice. It's not too late to get one of you and Mateo, is it? Or was it supposed to be taken on the Day?
