(Flathead Lake in Poulson)
Ruth and I headed to Montana the 3rd week of August. It was my first time to that state. We visited my Grandma's cottage in the Poulson area, then headed to Glacier Park. We had a lovely time together and were blessed with gorgeous weather. It was about 10 hour drive there and 12 hours home, since we came directly from the park.
We arrived Friday night and woke up to breakfast-in-bed. Grandma had a full day planned. We went on this 'hippo' ride (see above photo), then had a picnic on the lake, visited the buffalo range, then went to the restaurant where she used to work for dinner, then had a little fire at her place.
Sunday morning we were up early to go visit Kerr Dam, then head to Glacier Park. We rented a huge cabin there. We knew it had 2 rooms, but it actually slept 14 people. We drove through some of the park and enjoyed the beauty.
Monday we had a rafting float booked, so we enjoyed that then just relaxed the afternoon in the sun and had a fancy meal that evening.
We had to leave around 6 in the morning in order to be home for a wedding shower. I am so glad we went! My grandma was very happy to have some of the family visit. I hope to go again sometime with my hubby.
Wow...you had some lovely adventures! It's nice to go places you've never went before!
