I was shocked last year when I was told I couldn't reheat mushrooms. I was sure my mom had done that my whole life! I was later told I couldn't reheat spinach...I continued to do my own thing, but yesterday was again told it after having leftovers from tasty spinach pasta. I was not willing to throw them away, but thought this time I'd research it since I'm pregnant. *just in case*

I loved the title of this article! "What is funny, though, is that I could not find any English websites about the danger, but there are countless Dutch sites about it! Apparently, the life-threatening danger of spinach is only known to Dutch people."
I've never heard of that either! I'll see how my in-laws react when I tell them I reheated some spinach and rice the other day... which I actually couldn't eat because I think it sat in the fridge too long and didn't taste good at all anymore lol
ReplyDeleteyes, my German mother-in-law insists that you can't reheat spinach either. i have always ignored the advice, *smiled* and done my own thing. In my opinion, smiling is the most important part when taking any advice from "the in-laws" :)
