I'm A Good Belgian-Container Park

How did I forget to post about this earlier?
It is the recycling depot. For some odd reason, I love bringing my junk here. It feels better (and is cheaper!) than just throwing everything away. It is fascinating that so much can be recycled. Normally there is also a spot to put things for a 2nd hand store.

There are small bins (shown below) for all kinds of things. Examples: wine bottles, plastic wrap, flower pots, Styrofoam, batteries, fry oil, clothes, sometimes diapers

And there are large bins for glass, metal, plastic, wood, garden junk, cement...the piles go on and on.

  1. This is a European thing that I love. I think it is a shame the waste we Americans allow and attribute to. Recycling is here but it is more or less if you want to kind of thing. My husband actually can give his employee a bonus after a scrap metal day.

  2. We have something like that here, everyone has recycling bins at home for the glass, paper, and metal. As well as one for wood, grass, ect. I know we have the "tip" where we can take other stuff that can be resold, but most of the time I just take it to one of the many op-shops around here.
