Who has heard of 'the' fly lady?
I heard of her probably 6 years ago and what I remember is that you are supposed to clean your sink every day and get fully dressed each day.
I know she has lots of cleaning tips. Once again I am motivated to be more organized, make cleaning schedules and declutter. I looked her up again this week and signed up for her daily newsletter.
I like what she has to say, but I find the site and emails kind of confusing. There is a weekly zone that you work in 15 minutes/day, plus your morning/evening routine, Mondays have a weekly cleaning hour, and I forgot the rest.
I recently told hubby that it seems that I am cleaning a lot more than before and that it just seems that there is even more to do. I guess not having a baby and me working made a big difference. We weren't home to make messes? Or we just had less?
Whatever the reason, it seemed in the beginning of our marriage, I did half the work and it seemed the house was cleaner than it is now. Or did I just not notice what was around me?
People probably ask that if I don't keep my house clean, how do I do a good job at my work. Well, don't worry, all my clients have been satisfied with my work and I aim to please my new ones. It is much easier for me to work somewhere else. Fewer distractions and I know I get to leave in a few hours. What gets done is done, you don't see every day more things needing to be done.
Back to fly woman. I was supposed to make a routine, a few baby steps for mornings and evenings. Today was day 3. I feel better with them, so it was a good step to try!
Mornings:
Make bed
Unload dishwasher ASAP
Read Bible
Evenings:
Clean off dining room table
Dishes in dishwasher
Put clothes away
I never thought your house was messy! :)
