The big V day

We celebrated a day early by going to eat in Brussels, then taking part in a live audience for VOLT (see previous post). That was a fun experience! Mateo stayed the evening/night with his auntie, since he had to be babysat there the next day anyways. I have to say, it was nice in the morning to wake up and not have to worry about being quiet or getting him ready before I went to work.

Hubby promised his coworker that he would pick up a few pastries before work, so I told him to grab me one. Yum! Chocolate in croissant.
 I worked, picked up M, did some grocery shopping, picked up hubby, then the drama began. Maybe Mateo was mad because we left him or just tired, but whatever it was, he was awful! No need for details, but I was going crazy trying to make the nice steak dinner I had planned. The meal was kind of a flop and it was way later than planned, but it's the thought that counts, right? I did give a card and candy.

I did feel badly that it was a day of 'love' and most of the few hours that I saw my son in the day, I was frustrated with him. But these photos make me think how sweet and precious he is.
