Hair 2-Fishtail Braid

I was just sent this picture and it was the first time I could see how my fishtail braid looked to other people. It looks neat, but I have to say for really long hair, it is time consuming! I have only done it in the car when we had about an hour to drive.
I have heard it is easier to do this style starting with a ponytail, but I have done it without an elastic securing the top.
  1. Divide the ponytail/hair into two equal sections of hair.
  2. Take a small (approximately 1 inch) section from underneath the left section of hair and cross it over the right section of hair.
  3. Take another same-sized section of hair from the right section of hair.
  4. Cross the section from underneath the right over to the left side of your hair.
  5. Continue the steps until you reach the end of the ponytail.

  1. I've done this style on my Mom's hair...but not mine...I dont know if I'd have the patience to do it to my own hair! LOL

  2. It looks really cool! I don't know how well it would work in my hair though. Mine's probably too frizzy.
