Hubby's Job

In our Christmas letter I wrote that the hubby was looking for new work. It was a seemingly long process, but finally it worked out and he began almost 2 weeks ago. He signed his contract on a Friday, quit the old job on Monday and began the new one on Wednesday. He is doing SAP as an external consultant for the national railways. I am reeeaaalllly bad at trying to explain what SAP is, so you will have to ask him for details.

How does this affect our lives? Well, he now does not work 15 minutes away at a very convenient location. He works in Brussels and goes by train. The good part of this is that if I take him to the station, I get the car :) Speaking of the car...we got a 2009 VW Golf 6 from the company. I really like the car so far! My favorite things are the fancy cruise control, the dual temperature controls and the jack for the Ipod. *Ours is a sparkly blue*

I am always amazed at what you 'get' from your job here in Belgium. I know it is all a way to lower your wage in order to pay less taxes, but it still seems pretty cool. He also was given a new Iphone-wanna-be, paid cell phone servie and paid landline/internet, plus some other exciting things.

Since he does not work only a few kilometers away, he is away more, but I will try to get used to it and not complain. I truly am happy for his new job! He is much happier now :)
