I recently registered for a Dutch class, but had not talked to my boss, because I was working it out first with the clients. I emailed her my schedule yesterday and was scared. I knew it should all be fine, but just felt nervous. She just called to say that a woman I am filling in for is coming back a week early. The first bit of news is that I get paid for the 8 hours I will not work! (lovely social government)
The 2nd and 3rd pieces of news are that both of the houses where I was filling in want to keep me, instead of the other lady *shiny halo,* but only one is 'mean' enough to make the swtich, so I get to keep that job, which is my favorite one and I am the backup for the other house.
This might seem like a lame post, but I try really hard to please the people I work for and I don't often get positive feedback, so comments like the above make me really happy.
Good for you! It's always good to know that clients like and appreciate your work. Years ago I did housecleaning on the side (when I was single) and it can be a rewarding job if you have good clients!
ReplyDeleteIt's always great to get good feedback, no matter what it's about. Good for you! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! Of course they love you. You're American, and a perfectionist. :P
