Working Again

Monday starts a new chapter in our lives. I am going to start working part-time. Two 8 hours days per week. Mateo is going to be babysat by his auntie, so he is in very good hands!

I hope this all works out. I have been thinking out ways to make it not too stressful for our family. I will be cleaning again, so it can be tiring.

My plans are 1. go to bed in time 2. have meals made ahead and just pull them out of the freezer 3. pick up the house the night before, so I come home to a clean house

I made a meal plan for February with freezer meals for the days I work. I also plan to make some frozen breakfast burritos, so I can grab one on my way out in the morning.

I think getting up and out of the house on time will be the biggest challenge. I am not used to get up early anymore. (this early is not nearly as early as other peoples' early, but it will be tough for us)

It will also be an adjustment for hubby. Now my schedule pretty much revolves around his. If he wants to sleep in, we sleep in. If he has an early meeting, I either sleep in or drive him early. NOW, he is going to have to be up in time to get Mateo to the babysitter, to the train all before I start work at 8. Thankfully it is just 2 days/week, because this is tiring me out reading this.

The good part is that if we are gone all day, there is no one to make a mess, dirty dishes, pull things out of the cupboards, etc.

I made a few investments today for this phase of our life. 1. Freezer/microwave containers. Desperately necessary. 2. Birkenstocks
